The California Department of Education has made available a new comprehensive online resource for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP).
 
The Starting Smarter website includes information on student score reports, sample test questions, parent-teacher conferences, and other no-cost resources in English and Spanish.  Click here to access the new CAASPP website to assist parents in preparing their students for testing. 

These resources known as the Parent Guides to the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, Grade 11, should prove helpful in preparing for the state standardized CAASPP testing.

The Parent Guides provides a subject by subject, grade by grade sample of the Smarter Balanced assessment items/questions. The sample items explain the academic standards being addressed and clearly note within the examples the kinds of questions students must answer correctly to reach each achievement level.
